Description
PCGS authenticated and graded F 15. Attractive deep olive and chocolate browns. Struck on a flawed planchet with a few small defects on the lower left obverse, there is also a diagonal cut form the edge towards the center on the lower left reverse, possibly to test the metal and the only mark of note. Softly struck central details on the obverse and lower left legends, while the remaining legends are fully readable and the Broad Axe is about a bold as can be found due to the die failure affecting the reverse. One of only six known. 137.5 grains. Comes with a notable provenance.
