Shop - Item#1127 – 1854 N-20 R3 PCGS graded MS63 Brown, CAC Approved

Earliest State N-20

Stray 1 in Dentils. Frosty medium brown and light chocolate. The only notable mark is a small splash of slightly darker brown toning mixed with microscopic carbon under the ON in ONE. Struck from the early state of these dies with smooth, slightly reflective fields on the obverse (the earliest state seen). The stray 1 in the dentils under the right side of the 8 is bold. Our grade is MS60, tied for CC#11 overall for the variety but CC#4 of those in the early die state in the Grellman census. The attribution and Twin Leaf Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
