Shop - Item#1096 – 1854 N-6 R1 PCGS graded MS66 Brown, CAC Approved

Finest N-6

Choice lustrous light steel brown with a hint of bluish steel overtone and traces of mint red showing on both sides. The surfaces are satiny and this cent is beautiful, nearly flawless. A light diagonal nick in the field over star 11 is the only mark. Nicely struck with full radial lines in most of the stars. M-LDS, die state c. The fields are flowlined, the die lines from the dentils at star 2 are gone, and a tiny lump shows close under the tip of the nose. Our grade is MS63+, very close to MS64, and CC#1 in the Grellman census. The attribution and Twin Leaf Collection provenance are shown on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1, none finer in BN.

Ex Jack Beymer 4/2002-Dr. Philip W. Ralls-Ralls Estate, McCawley & Grellman Auctions/Goldbergs 1/2014:882-Jack Wadlington (The Twin Leaf Collection), Stack’s Bowers 7/16/2015:2664 (includes the Ralls collection envelope, the Wadlington collection notes, and both lot tickets)
