Description
Glossy steel brown and chocolate with very mellowed mint red showing through in protected areas on both sides. The only contact mark is a small nick on the rim at star 12, but the strike is blunted by grease or some other foreign material on the obverse die. The cheek, neck, and curls over 54 are weak as a result. In addition there are some small struck-through voids on that side including a diagonal one on the cheek below the eye, one in the field between star 11 and the hair bun, and a couple more on the rim near star 11, all as struck. The reverse is choice. LDS, die state b.
