Description
PCGS authenticated and graded AU 58. Frosty medium brown and steel with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. The fields and protected areas are covered with satiny and the only notable marks are a small spot of darker toning (not carbon) on the jaw at the throat and a thin diagonal nick left of the bottom of the E in CENT. Nicely struck EDS with a sharp inner circle from left of the date clockwise to star 11. The repunching at the bottom of the T in CENT is bold. Struck with the reverse rotated 25 degrees CCW from the normal head-to-foot die orientation. A very nice example of a variety that is unknown in mint state according to the Noyes census, and the crisp early die state is a plus.
