Description
PCGS authenticated and graded AU 50. Glossy dark brown and reddish chocolate with a small granular patch in the left obverse field behind the lower curls, as well as shallow pits scattered on the reverse that weren’t enough to prevent the straight grade by PCGS. Manley Die State 7.0 with the reverse rim cud break extending over OF AMERI and joining the tops of all the letters except A and I. This is possibly the finest known for this rare die state, this piece wasn’t known to Manley for his 1996 survey.
