Description

Glossy medium golden brown toning that fades to olive brown in protected areas and fine to moderate granularity on the surfaces. The only notable mark is a small nick in the field under the I in LIBERTY. Struck slightly off center to K-6 on a planchet cut from an off-center large cent. Undertype from the large cent is visible on both sides. On the obverse there is an arc of large cent dentils from the chin to the bottom of the neck. On the reverse, The ST from STATES on the off-center large cent is clearly visible at the T in CENT, and EN from CENT shows at the UN in UNITED. MDS, Manley state 2.0. The date is bold and the legends are clear. Low Head, Plain Edge.
