Description
PCGS authenticated and graded VG Details. The obverse is glossy medium brown and light olive while the reverse is a darker shade of olive brown on the devices and lighter chocolate in protected areas. The notable marks are a dozen old, light scratches on the face into the field under TY plus a nick on the forehead and a planchet chip at the top of the C in CENT, as struck. Only the planchet chip is distracting and the overall eye appeal is decent for the grade. EDS, Breen state I, before the die crack on the obverse. The date is clear and the legends are complete except for ES-OF-AMER which are weak at best. The surfaces are smooth, void of any notable corrosion or verdigris, and it comes with a nice provenance.
