Description
NGC authenticated and graded MS 65 BN. Attractive medium brown with mellowed mint red in some protected areas. The eagle is a bit soft, as usual for this later die state, but otherwise sharp details with strong flowlines around the peripheries and the usual strong die break on the upper left clock. A lustrous GEM example with excellent eye appeal, only one finer graded MS 66 by NGC from the Eric P. Newman collection. Thick Planchet, Plain Edge.
Year – 1789
Variety – Breen-1020
