Description
PCGS authenticated and graded AU 55. Glossy medium brown and deeper olive on smooth surfaces. Remarkably well struck, most examples very weakly struck with little to no central details, this piece is bold throughout except at Britannia’s head which still remains outlined. Phenomenal eye appeal, likely the finest known between the strike and grade. This is the earliest year of Machin’s Mills halfpenny’s with the left facing bust of George II.
