Description
NGC authenticated and graded VF 35. Deep gray toning, struck slightly off center on either side but a tad more so on the obverse with the top of some legends not making the flan. There are a couple of dull obverse scratches, not enough to prevent the straight grade by NGC. Salmon’s obverse 7a is a revision of the obverse 7 (Noe-8), with several letters strengthened. The Diii reverse is on its fourth revision from the D (Noe-4), Di (Noe-5 & 6), and Dii (Noe-7) with many design elements, legends, and date strengthened. 66.1 grains. Once holdered in a PCGS XF40 holder, the old label included and photographed.
