Description
NGC authenticated and graded F 15. Light gray and blue steel with areas of lighter reddish toning on the obverse, the reverse deeper gray and blue steel. Fine granularity on the surfaces. Most of the tree and legends are visible on the obverse, the reverse sharper, well centered, and nicely struck. One of only 11 known examples of Noe 28.5 and Noe 28.5.5 varieties, the die crack at 3’clock on the reverse through A in ENGLAND is the best identifying factor of this die state. 17 grains. Listed on page 35 of the 2023 Guide Book.
