Description
NGC authenticated and graded F 15. Pleasing deep silver gray patina with subtle gold highlights. The inner circle on the obverse is fairly unbroken, uncommon on these pieces, with the usual jumbling around the letters. The date and reverse legends are a bit more readable than the obverse. A very rare variety, one of only eight known to exist. There are similarities between the Willow Tree Shilling and sixpence designs, it’s been theorized they share the same engraver. 73.4 grains.
