1802    S-231  R1        PCGS XF45                            $ 2,250

Medium chocolate mottled with tan. Smooth hard surfaces. A faint pinscratch under the CA of AMERICA. The rims are clean and defect free.

1803    S-249  R2        PCGS VF35                            $ 1,250

Sharply struck. Hard glossy chocolate planchet. There are some field marks, but the rims are clean. A very difficult variety to find in middle grades.

 1803    S-264  R5        PCGS AG3     LARGE DATE, SMALL FRACTION                         $ 9,500

Brown with smooth surfaces. There is a small rim bump K7 obverse. A few other marks, but pretty close to problem free. This example is from the later die state with the strong rim break K9-K1 reverse which has now filled in obliterating STA of STATES. The LIB of LIBERTY on the obverse is also weak. Perhaps this is why PCGS graded this AG. The reverse is full with a complete fraction. The date is also full. By EAC standards this would grade at least G4. Very few examples of this variety will make it into a PCGS holder.

1805    S-269  R1        PCGS VF30                            $  950

Dark chocolate and steel. Very sharply struck. Some fine underlying granularity. Great eye appeal.

1806    S-270  R1        PCGS XF40                            $ 2,000

Dark chocolate, almost olive. Attractive hard smooth surfaces free of any detracting marks.
